Reyes JUÁREZ-RAMÍREZ

Received a PhD from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) in 2008, in Computer Science with a specialty in Software Engineering. He is currently holding a Full Professor position in UABC, Tijuana campus, Baja California, Mexico. He is the President of the Mexican Network of Software Engineering (REDMIS, https://conisoft.org/redmis/). He is a member of the National System of Researchers of Mexico (SNI), Level 2, and leads several research projects, academic and in collaboration with industry. His research areas are Software Engineering (uncertainty in agile methodologies, quality improvement in Scrum), Human-Computer Interaction (user-centered design, adaptive user interfaces), and recently he has started working with Quantum Computing. He is the general chair of some national and international events, such as the International Conference in Software Engineering Research and Innovation (CONISOFT).

Samantha JIMÉNEZ

Has several years of experience teaching computer software engineering, programming, and computer science for bachelor’s-level students. She has participated in a leadership role in various software development projects both for industry and academia. She holds a PhD in Computer Sciences from the Autonomous University of Baja California, a master’s in engineering and a bachelor’s degree in computer systems Engineering from the University of Colima. She is part of the National System of Researchers of Mexico. Her research interests are human-computer interaction, dialogue systems, affective computing, and educational systems. She has presented her work in several conferences and published more than 20 articles in international scientific journals.

Christian Xavier NAVARRO-COTA

Received a Computer Science master’s degree from the Center of Scientific Research and Superior Education in Ensenada, in 2002, and a PhD degree from the University of Castilla–La Mancha, Spain, in 2016. He joined the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Mexico, in 2001, where he is currently a Professor and Researcher. His research interests are focused on the fields of Mobile Computing, Human–Computer Interaction, Ubiquitous Computing, and M-learning.

César GUERRA-GARCÍA

Is currently Full Time Professor at Department of Computation, Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, México. He obtained his PhD in University of Castilla-La Mancha in 2011, Spain. He did his First Degree in Computer Systems in 1996 in Technologic Institute of San Luis Potosí, México. He also obtained his Master of Computer Sciences at CICESE in 2000. His areas of interests are Software Engineering, Data Quality, Requirements Engineering, Model Driven Development, Web Engineering and Citizen Science. He has teaching experience of more than 20 years in the areas of Software Engineering and Software Modelling.

Hector Gerardo PEREZ-GONZALEZ

Is a research professor at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí. Master of Science in Computer Science (UNAM) and PhD in Computer Science (University of Colorado). Author of research papers on automatic software design and for quantum computers. Speaker at conferences (USA, Brazil, Canada, England, Spain, Portugal, and Singapore). Reviewer of papers for international journals and conferences. Secretary of the Mexican Society of Computer Science, 2012-2014. Head of the Computer Science department (Engineering school, UASLP). Recipient of the 2014 Lee Kimche McGrath Worldwide Fellowship from the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC). Member of the National System of Researchers of Mexico Level I.

Carlos Alberto FERNÁNDEZ-Y-FERNÁNDEZ

Holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Universidad Veracruzana, a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Arturo Rosenblueth Foundation, and a PhD from the University of Sheffield in the field of Software Engineering. He is a full-time professor and researcher at the Institute of Computing in the Technological University of the Mixteca, where he also serves as the director. He is a member of the Mexican Academy of Computing (AMEXCOMP), in the Software Engineering academic section. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the International Congress on Research and Innovation in Software Engineering (CONISOFT) and the Mexican Network of Software Engineering (REDMIS). He is also a member of various scientific committees for national and international journals and conferences. Within the field of Software Engineering, his focus areas include both agile and traditional development methods, visual modeling, and formal software specification.

Javier ORTIZ-HERNÁNDEZ

Karina CANCINO

Is a full-time professor of Software Engineering at UPTapachula with extensive experience in application development and data model management. She is currently an active member of the Mexican Network of Software Engineering (REDMIS) and the Academic Body Engineering Applied to Organizations. She has the recognition Level I National System of Researchers of Mexico (SNI) Area VIII. Engineering and Technological Development and Honorary Researcher Level VI of the State System of Researchers of the State of Chiapas. Her main lines of research are knowledge base modeling, application of descriptive technologies for data analysis and time series.
